Are weeds within my landscape bed areas included in my lawn care program?

Weeds in landscaping are not included with our standard lawn care programs. We do however offer landscape maintenance programs which include controlling the weeds in your landscape beds.

Do you blow off excess fertilizer from sidewalks, patios, driveways and streets?

Yes we do. As a courtesy to our customers, and to avoid tracking anything in your home or business, we always blow off excess lawn fertilizer from sidewalks, patios, driveways and streets.

Do you offer a lawn care program for lakefront properties?

Yes we do. Our all natural 5 step waterfront turf program is designed exclusively for use on lakefront properties. This program eliminates the use of phosphorus and other synthetic products which can be harmful to the ecosystem of a lake or other body of water.

What is included in your weekly lawn mowing service?

Our weekly lawn mowing service includes:

  • We inspect the property and remove all trash and debris prior to servicing your lawn.
  • We mow at the right height for the season and conditions.
  • We alternate patterns to avoid rutting and soil compaction.
  • We mulch all clippings providing the turf with additional nutrients.
  • We maintain a 90-degree edge (not rounded like most lawn services do) weekly with a string trimmer. Mechanical edging is available upon request.
  • Our technicians are careful to trim at the same height as the mower cut to eliminate any visual transition and avoid scalping.
  • We blow all clippings from hard surfaces, such as driveway, patio, sidewalks, etc., back into the grass.
What size mowers do you use?

The size of mower used is determined by the size of the property, layout of the landscaping, and other details such as a fence or multiple trees. We utilize several different size mowers from 21” push mowers to 48” commercial mowers.

Do you catch (bag) or recycle (mulch) the grass clippings?

We mulch clippings back into the turf and do not offer catching or bagging of grass. The only times we will remove clippings is in the Spring if we want to suck up the loose dead grass and during the fall when there are too many leaves to mulch. Grass clippings are made up of 80% water and nutrients, therefore we fully believe in putting these nutrients back into the soil.

What happens when it rains or you get delayed?

Rain is the most common cause of any delays with your mowing. We do our best to work through light to medium amounts of rain when safe depending on the upcoming forecasts. If we get behind for any reason we will always be out as soon as possible. We never skip properties or leave work incomplete due to delays.

What is “Core Aeration” and how do I know if I need it?

Core aeration loosens the soil to improve the flow of air, water and nutrients to the grass roots. Aerating your lawn also controls thatch build up, relieves compacted soil, and stimulates root development, creating a healthier lawn. Aerating is one of the best things you can do for your lawn annually and provides the perfect environment for overseeding.

Do you offer snow removal?

We do not currently offer snow removal.
